Subject Profile

Hi, I'm James.

Libertarian Author Organizer Volunteer

I'm a Libertarian organizer, author, and volunteer focused on turning big ideas into real local action. My work centers on clear messaging, community outreach, free speech, individual liberty, and helping more people get involved without needing a permission slip from the political establishment.

✎ I write, I organize, I show up. The work is local, the message is simple: your life shouldn't require approval.

FILE §02-A — A SHORT ACCOUNT

The slightly longer version.

I came to liberty the same way most people do — slowly, then all at once. Somewhere between the third permit application and the second "we'll get back to you," I realized the country I was raised to believe in was spending a lot of its time waiting in line for itself. So I started showing up: town halls, fairs, doorsteps, coffee shops. Anywhere two people might end up talking about what a freer life could look like.

"Liberty isn't a press release. It's a Tuesday night with a clipboard, a folding table, and a friend who finally said yes."

I write because the message needs to land outside a campaign cycle. The Permission Slip Society is my attempt to put the idea on paper plainly: a free life shouldn't have to be approved by someone above you. I organize because the page isn't enough — ideas only move when neighbors carry them down the street. I volunteer because there is no shortcut and no shortage of work.

When I'm not doing any of that, I'm probably reading something old, arguing politely with something new, or drinking the worst coffee at the best meeting in town. Thanks for stopping by the file.
